Remembrance Day Services 2018

At St John's church, over 200 poppies were on display to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1 ... all of them knitted by ladies from church. In addition, the poppies on the pulpit were made by children from Clayton le Woods school, and the 20 large felt poppies which completed the display were given to families as they came into church, to bring to the pulpit during the service.
At Clayton Brook church, the Service of Remembrance featured a table, tastefully dressed alongside their very own 'Our Tommy', which helped to focus on the loss and sacrifices made during the many conflicts of our nations. The prayer corner and notice boards displayed images and words which again helped us to remember.
